Business Terms

Our mutual commitments and neighborhood business standards.

Effective: November 4, 2026

1. Overview

These Business Terms govern your commercial participation, directory placements, and business profiles across Residents Guide. When you submit an intake reservation, order a service, or manage a listing, you agree to these terms alongside our Payment Terms, Cancellation Policy, and Business Privacy.

These Business Terms also operate alongside our general Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and Cookies Policy, which apply to all use of the Residents Guide platform.

Specific pricing, payment schedules, deliverables, and service scopes are established by your submission form, invoice, or agreement.

2. Representing Your Business

When you register, submit an order, or manage an account on behalf of a company, organization, or brand, you confirm that you are an authorized representative with the legal standing to act on behalf of your business. Your business assumes full responsibility for all account activity, team submissions, and communications conducted through the platform.

You agree to conduct business and receive notices electronically. Submitting an online form, including typing your name and title, checking an agreement box, and clicking confirmation, constitutes your legally binding electronic signature under applicable federal and state law, replacing any requirement for paper contracts or third-party signature software.

3. Directory Presence and Content License

You retain ownership of all branding, imagery, text, and materials you provide.

To feature your business across neighborhood guides, you grant Residents Guide a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, reformat, and share your business name, logos, photos, contact details, and public profile information across our platform and discovery channels. You confirm that all submitted media and information are accurate and that you have all necessary rights to share them.

4. Community and Quality Standards

Residents Guide connects neighbors with trustworthy local businesses. Participating businesses agree to maintain honest, professional community standards:

  • Licensing & Standing. Maintain all active municipal, state, and professional licenses, registrations, and insurance required for your industry.

  • Accuracy. Keep your business hours, contact channels, service offerings, and pricing information current and truthful.

  • Authenticity. Never submit false reviews, misleading claims, or deceptive advertising.

We reserve the right to review, pause, or remove any profile, listing, or promotional tool that fails to meet these standards or violates local regulations.

5. Renewals and Ongoing Participation

Business agreements run for the full term specified in your agreement. If your plan includes renewal rights or category priority, your business has the first right to renew before your position is made available to others, provided your account remains in good standing.

We provide advance written notice before any renewal window or rate adjustment takes effect.

6. Platform Evolution and Operating Updates

Residents Guide continuously adapts to better serve local communities and participating businesses. We regularly update and refine our features, directory tools, page layouts, and search presentations. We reserve the right to evolve the platform and update these terms to reflect product improvements, legal standards, or community needs.

If an update materially changes your active plan or core deliverables, we will provide advance written notice to your account email. Your continued participation after notice takes effect confirms your agreement to the updated terms.
